Basic Steps for Passing Immigration at Bangkok Airport
When we fly from Yangon to Bangkok and arrive in Bangkok, we become arrival passengers at Bangkok Airport.
Upon reaching Suvarnabhumi Airport, you can either walk or take an escalator to the immigration area.
Line up for Bangkok immigration.
While waiting in line at immigration, do not take any photos as it is strictly prohibited.
Have your passport, flight ticket, hotel booking, and other necessary documents ready.
When it’s your turn, present your passport, hotel booking, and flight ticket.
Usually, they don’t ask many questions; they might just ask for your name, the length of your stay, and the purpose of your visit.
They often don’t check for show money, but it’s better to carry 20,000 Baht. If you are carrying USD, bring about $600. It’s better to exchange your money to Baht before you travel.
After completing the face and fingerprint scans, your passport will be stamped.
After passing immigration, proceed to baggage claim.
Once you have collected your carry-on bag and luggage, if you are taking a taxi or bus to your hotel, exit from the first floor. If you are taking the train to the city, go down to the basement, purchase a train ticket, and you’re ready to go.
